State of AI in Australia:
Research Report

State of AI Header

Although AI is still rapidly evolving, this research report provides valuable insight into current AI adoption and a pulse check of the current state of play across industries and departments in Australia. It identifies both roadblocks and ways to overcome them, ultimately helping organisations enhance their capabilities.

The report unpacks the barriers to implementation, outlines how businesses can overcome them, and highlights the opportunities AI presents to drive efficiency and competitive advantage.

The survey of over 400 Australian professionals across different seniority levels revealed that while AI is a top business priority and most agree it should be embraced, organisations are still immature in adoption. It emphasised the critical need for comprehensive training, adequate budget allocation, and strategic prioritisation of AI adoption.

To interpret the findings, V2 consulted 12 industry leaders from pioneering tech organisations. Experts from QBE Insurance, Boston Consulting Group, TechDiversity Foundation, TikTok, and UNSW provided firsthand insights into the practical implications of these issues.
